London Gatwick Airport Takes Off With Nimbus P2P Accelerator

Nimbus launches P2P Accelerator – a prebuilt Procure-to-Pay business process model that shortens time-to-value on Finance Transformation programs.

Nimbus, providers of Nimbus Control the award winning business process management application, announced today a new range of Process Accelerators to support clients’ Finance Transformation programs. The first Finance Accelerator, available immediately, covers Procure-to-Pay (P2P).

The P2P Accelerator is an integrated best practice process map including activities, roles, KPI metrics, document templates, business controls, keywords to enable structured search, storyboards for user training, and linkages to transactional systems such as SAP. It is delivered in Nimbus Control (either on premises or through the cloud) and can be quickly customised by clients to the needs of their organizations.

Making the announcement today at Toning Up Purchase to Pay to Attain Touchless Processing, the fifth sharedserviceslink.com P2P conference in London, Mike Gammage, Nimbus VP Product Marketing, said: “Our Process Accelerators speed up the early stages of business transformation programs by providing a user friendly visualization of best practice processes. It’s an approach which dramatically improves business engagement. It enables clients to make very rapid progress in capture, re-design and deployment of their P2P processes. We are delighted that results from early adopter clients such as Gatwick Airport confirm this.”

Ian Dobson, SAP Program Director at London Gatwick Airport, said: “The new owners of Gatwick have invested in a program to transform financial efficiency through SAP. The Nimbus P2P Accelerator has given us a head-start on our end-to-end process capture, which has enabled us to deliver user acceptance, system configuration and business improvements significantly quicker.”

Susie West, Founder and CEO of sharedserviceslink.com, said: “Nimbus is a leader in business process excellence in Finance and a regular contributor to our conferences. I’m sure that many organizations here today will be delighted at this announcement. We hope to hear more about the London Gatwick story at a future event.”

Commenting further, Mike Gammage said, “It’s not uncommon to halve the amount of time spent on process discovery and agreement using this approach, but the real benefit of doing this with Nimbus Control is the creation of a platform for continuous improvement. That’s what Nimbus Control is all about. Easier and faster collaboration so that processes are improved; governance so that the content remains valid and trusted; and engagement so that people find, understand and adopt the required new ways of working. It’s great that we are helping clients achieve an early return on investment, but the longer term benefits are far higher.”

The P2P Accelerator is the first of three planned Finance Accelerators. Nimbus expects to release Order-to-Cash and Record-to-Report Process Accelerators later this year. Nimbus already has Process Accelerators for HR and IT Service Management which have been adopted by clients with similarly positive results.

At the sharedserviceslink.com P2P Conference Nimbus is demonstrating how Process Accelerator Content and Nimbus Control can be applied throughout the business transformation lifecycle including; capture and analysis of existing processes; design of the future operating model; and transition and deployment.

Nimbus Control is used by clients worldwide to orchestrate complex transformation programs in Finance and other support functions, frequently involving shared services, outsourcing and systems implementations.
